We cook tacos at Leisure World club banquets, installation dinners, milestone birthdays and anniversary lunches, in the clubhouse you have booked. The crew brings everything and leaves the room as they found it.
Everything here happens in a clubhouse, because the housing is apartments and condominiums with no private outdoor space to host in. So when a club holds its annual banquet or a resident marks a ninetieth birthday, the room is booked and the food comes in.
That makes the clubhouse the job rather than the setting. We arrive self-contained and work from our own station, which matters in a shared room: somebody has it after you, and the state we leave it in is our responsibility rather than yours.
Club events are the bulk of what gets booked in these rooms. Installation dinners, annual banquets, anniversary lunches, the dance a club puts on for its members. Those come with a committee, a date settled months ahead and a head count that firms up late, and we are used to all three.
Private parties take the same rooms. A milestone birthday, an anniversary, a memorial reception. The difference is only who signs, and the service is identical.
Every plate is built as it is ordered, which is worth more in a room of this kind than almost anywhere. Nobody has to eat around something they did not want, portions are whatever each guest asks for, and there is no set menu deciding on anyone's behalf.
Three of these are names for the same service. You may have searched any of them.

The serving side: proteins kept hot, toppings and salsas laid out and replenished as members go through.
The compact build, which is what a clubhouse room or its patio usually has space for.
Each guest asks and watches it happen. Portions are whatever that person wants rather than what a set menu decided.
The salsas sit at the end of the line, so heat is each guest's own choice.
On the line with everything else, so no guest has to ask for it or wait while it is made.
Figure on $15 to $30 a guest. A smaller group lands nearer the upper end per person, because one crew turns out whatever the number.
From there the figure moves with the head count, the breadth of the menu, anything extra such as sides or drinks, and how many hours you need us. Those give us an exact total.
If you are arranging this for a club rather than for your own family, there are two things worth knowing up front.
The first is the head count. Club events firm up late, because members sign the list over several weeks, so give us the number you expect and tell us when you will know properly. We staff to the number and bring food accordingly, and a change in the last fortnight is normal rather than a problem.
The second is the room. You will have it for set hours, and we plan the arrival, the service and the pack-out to finish inside them, so the room is clear when your booking ends rather than ten minutes after.
Three stages, and the first is the only one that needs you.
The date, the hours you have the room, an approximate number, and whether this is a club event or a private party.
The menu, the arrival time, the length of service and the cost, all worked out together and sent to you in writing well before the date.
The crew sets up, cooks and serves your hours, then clears the room and loads out.
The clubhouses, inside the gates.
We cater throughout the community, in whichever clubhouse your club or your family has booked, including the rooms with a kitchen and the picnic area beside Clubhouse One. If your event is outdoors on the grounds instead, we cook there the same way.
Which Mutual you live in makes no difference to the price. That follows your head count and the hours of service.
We also cover Rossmoor, Seal Beach, Los Alamitos, Sunset Beach, Cypress, Westminster, Midway City, Stanton, La Palma and Garden Grove.

The line forms, it moves, and twenty minutes later people are still talking with plates in hand rather than waiting to be served. That is the whole aim.
