Westminster Event Catering
We cook tacos at Westminster quinceañeras, baptisms, birthdays, graduation parties and block parties. Our crew brings the grill, cooks where the party is, and clears up after.
The big family occasions come first around here. Quinceañeras, baptisms, first birthdays, graduation parties, anniversaries and reunions, with long guest lists and several generations in the room. If that is your party, it is the kind we are built for.
A long guest list is the detail to lead with when you write to us. Our cooks work a counter rather than setting food out for people to help themselves, so two hundred guests get served at a steady pace instead of in one rush. More cooks go on the counter when the number is high, and that is what keeps the line moving.
Some of what we do here is one part of a bigger spread, where there are several caterers feeding the same room. That is normal work for us. Tell us what else is going out and we will fit our end around it.
Block parties are their own thing and this city has plenty of them. A street closed off with neighbors bringing tables out is one of the easier jobs we do: we set the counter up at the curb, serve from there and take it away again, so no household ends up hosting the food on its own.

Everything the cooking needs travels with us: the grill, the fuel, the proteins, the tortillas, the toppings and the salsas, plus the staff to cook and serve. Your kitchen is not part of it at any point.
What we need from you is somewhere level to stand the counter and enough room for guests to line up in front of it. That holds whether the party is in a yard, at a park or in a booked hall, and it is why a park with no kitchen behind it works the same as a room with one.
When service ends the crew breaks the counter down, clears the area it worked in and loads out. Nothing is left for you to return, store or wash.
You may have searched for any of these. They are three names for this same service.

The counter they work from, with the toppings and salsas refilled as guests come through.
A self-contained cart, which is the setup that fits where a bigger one will not.
Five things that hold true on every booking.
Your guest asks at the counter and watches it happen, so nobody is handed something decided for them in advance.
The salsas sit at the end of the counter, so heat is added by whoever wants it and skipped by whoever does not.
Out on the counter with the rest of it, from the first guest to the last.
A long guest list gets more cooks. That is the difference between a line that moves and one that stalls.
Breaking down and cleaning where we served is part of the job rather than something you arrange afterward.
Four stages, and only the first one asks anything of you.
The date, the start time, how many you are expecting, the occasion, and where it is: a yard, a park, a hall or a closed street.
Which proteins, what goes alongside, and anything your guests cannot eat. A high head count changes the quantities, so the number matters here too.
When the crew arrives and how long the counter stays open, worked back from when you want people eating.
Menu, hours and total, all agreed before the date.
Around $15 to $30 a guest is the usual range. A big guest list works out lower per head than a small one, since one crew and one counter have to turn out whatever the number.
From there it moves with the head count, the proteins on the menu, anything extra like sides or drinks, and the hours you want us serving. Send those over and we will put an exact figure on it.
Across the city, at houses, parks, halls and closed streets.
We cook at houses all through the residential grid, at the picnic areas at Sigler Park, Liberty Park, Tony Lam Park and Bolsa Chica Park, and at the halls and meeting rooms around the Civic Center. If your street is closed off for a block party, we work the curb.
Where you are makes no difference to what you pay. That comes down to how many guests you are feeding and how long you want us there.
We also cover Midway City, Garden Grove, Stanton, Fountain Valley, Leisure World, Sunset Beach, Cypress, Rossmoor, Los Alamitos and Huntington Beach.

The sign it went well is the second trip. Guests who came over once, ate standing up talking to somebody, and then went back for another one without having to ask anybody first.
