We cook tacos on site for milestone birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions and club events in Laguna Woods Village. Send us your date, your clubhouse and a rough headcount.
Almost everything here happens in a clubhouse rather than at home. The manors and condominiums were not built for hosting thirty people, so a milestone birthday, an anniversary or a reunion gets booked into one of the Village rooms instead.
That changes what a caterer has to be good at. We arrive self-contained, work from our own station, and keep the room tidy while we do it, because it is a shared facility and somebody else has it after you.
We cook everything on site and build each plate as it is asked for. A guest who wants very little gets very little, and one who wants everything gets that, without a set menu deciding for them.
It also suits the archetypal party here, which is the weekend the grandchildren are down. One line feeds a nine-year-old and a table of adults without a separate dish for anybody.

Is the compact build, which is usually what a clubhouse room or its patio has space for.
The Village rooms are all a bit different. Clubhouse 6 has a dining room, a dance floor and a kitchen. Clubhouse 5 has a lounge with a stage. Clubhouse 7 doubles as a bridge room. We have no preference: tell us which one you have booked and we will plan the setup around it.
We work from our own equipment either way, so we are not relying on the room's kitchen. That keeps us out of your way and out of the way of whoever has the room next.
The Village keeps its own caterer and vendor list, and we work to whatever it requires. If your clubhouse booking comes with conditions, send them with your date and we will meet them.
Outside the clubhouses we also cater on patios and at the Community Center, and the service runs the same way in all of them.
From setup to the pack-out.
Each guest tells us what they want at the counter and we make it on the spot. Nobody is handed a plate they did not choose.
The heat lives in the salsas rather than the meat, so a grandchild and a grandparent can eat off the same line. There is always a vegetarian option out.
We keep the grills going for the whole window, so anyone who wants another plate can have one.
The crew breaks the station down, carries everything away and wipes down after itself, which matters in a room somebody else is using later.
Figure on about $15 to $30 a guest. A club lunch for thirty comes out higher per head than a hundred-and-fifty-guest reception, because we bring the same crew and equipment to both.
Beyond that, the proteins you pick, any sides or drinks, and how long we serve are what set the number. The exact total is confirmed after a quick consultation.
Four steps, and the first is the only one that needs you.
Send the date, the clubhouse or room you have booked, when you want people eating and roughly how many are coming.
We work out the proteins and any extras with you, and agree exactly when service starts and finishes.
The arrival time, the number of cooks, the serving hours and the total, sent over before anything is confirmed. Useful if a committee has to approve it.
We arrive early enough to be ready, cook through your window, then pack down and leave the room as we found it.

We cater throughout Laguna Woods Village, in the numbered clubhouses and at the Community Center, whichever mutual you are in. The quote does not change with the room.
If your gathering is on a patio or outdoors on a Village green instead, that works too. We bring everything with us either way.
