Las Flores Catering
We cook tacos at Las Flores kids' birthdays, graduation parties and poolside gatherings, in the back yard or at one of the community patios. The crew brings everything and clears up after.
This is a small community of family houses just across Oso Parkway from Ladera Ranch, and the parties match it: kids' birthdays most of the year, graduation parties in spring, christenings, and the poolside gathering that turns into dinner.
Plenty of them are at home, out in the back yard, which is the simplest version of this job. We bring the grill, the food and the people to run it, so nothing needs borrowing and your kitchen stays out of it.
The rest are at the community's own patios and pool, which are already set up for eating outside: covered space, tables, and room to put a serving counter at one end. Our crew brings its own cooking equipment, so all we are using is the space itself.
Scale here is small by design. Thirty or forty guests is the usual booking rather than two hundred, and that suits us: fewer cooks, one counter, and the whole thing set up and away inside an afternoon.
A note on the name, because it saves confusion: this page is about the Las Flores off Oso Parkway in south Orange County. There is a Las Flores on Camp Pendleton and a Las Flores street in several Orange County cities, and we are not talking about those.
Three of these are names for the same service. You may have searched any of them.

What they are serving over: a spread of fillings and toppings that gets refilled, not set out once.
The cart, small enough for a patio and still enough to feed forty people properly.
They order at the station and see it made, which beats being handed a plate somebody guessed at.
We put no heat in the cooking at all. It arrives only from the salsas, and only if a guest wants it.
A meat-free filling is out with everything else, with no request needed and no waiting around.
If your party is at the Oak Tree pool or one of the community parks rather than at home, the booking works the same way and there is one thing worth sorting out early: where the counter goes. The covered patios have the shade and the tables, so we usually set up at one end and leave the rest of the space to your guests.
We need level ground and room for a line in front of the counter, and nothing else. No power, no water, no kitchen. A fitted-out patio is no more use to us than a flat patch of concrete, which is why we can work from either.
Tell us which spot you have when you write. Knowing whether we are at Oak Tree or Starlight Ridge means the crew turns up with the right layout in mind rather than working it out in front of your guests.
About $15 to $30 a guest, and a party of thirty or forty tends to sit nearer the top of that per person. One crew still comes out, whatever the number.
The things that move it are your numbers, the choice of proteins, any drinks or sides you want alongside, and how many hours we stay. Give us those four and we can be exact.
The whole community, both sides of the parkway.
Las Flores is small enough that there is not much to list: we cater throughout it, up at the Oak Tree end and down around Starlight Ridge, and at the houses on both sides of Oso Parkway.
Where you are makes no difference to the price. That follows your guest numbers and how long you want us there.
We also cover Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza, Mission Viejo, Trabuco Canyon, Lake Forest, Ladera Ranch, Laguna Hills, Rancho Mission Viejo, Laguna Woods and Aliso Viejo.

The first plate says the food is good. The second trip, twenty minutes later, says the afternoon is going well. Nobody makes that walk for something that has been sitting out.
